InterActing Power!® grew out of Steve’s career as an actor-trainer, which began in 1980. In addition to being an award-winning actor, he has gained recognition and honors for his university-level teaching and now distributes that wealth of knowledge through group seminars, classes, and private coaching.

Stage Fright Every public speaking or presentation-making book you’ve ever read has told you that you need to learn how to control your stage fright. Problem is, they come up short on telling you how to do it! The approach you’ll take in this course will enable you to master the energy that can either deep-six what could have been a good performance or enable you to achieve a level of brilliance you’ve never known before! The choice is yours; we’ve got the tools!
Acting 101 Without these fundamentals, you’re going on instinct. The problem with instinct is it can lead you to making bad habits onstage, because you’re unconsciously protecting yourself -- acting, after all, is scary! Ground yourself in a method that enables you to build a character that lives and is unique. You learn to act out of relaxation, not nervous tension. And our method is as powerful for a stylized performance as it is for realism.
Intention Intensive The fundamental principle of all good acting is Intention. Learn a solid approach to script analysis based on what your character is trying to do in the play or film. It doesn’t take long to learn, and it will serve your needs for scene preparation forever!
Stimulus-Response Intensive If there’s one thing that separates the boring from the splendid in acting, it’s stimulus-response. It’s the activity that makes a performance human. In fact, without stimulus-response, a performance is just recitation. This class will equip you with the tools you need to take the daring steps toward real human connection on the stage and in front of the camera!
Performance/Critique Here’s your chance to put what you’ve learned to the test! We don’t spend time teaching the fundamentals in this class -- we do, though, refer to them almost constantly (we refer to much more advanced material, as well). The pre-requisite of this class is Acting 101 and the two Intensives directly above. If you’ve got what it takes to put yourself into the crucible and come out with a deep knowledge of where you are in your development as an actor . . . this class is for you!
